Corrected application and Windows build versions in licensing and diagnostics. Administrative statistics distinguish download-link and file requests; these are not completed downloads or unique users.
Writable .dkv file and folder vaults, opening .dp split backups, source-folder selection, independent split settings, redesigned password dialogs and safe vault ejection from Windows Explorer. Free-space cleanup is restricted to verified HDD/NTFS volumes and leaves a 256 MB safety reserve.
59 regression tests, packaged archive opening and 28 installer payloads verified. Reboot protection is unsupported on Home/Pro; UWF integration on supported editions remains experimental pending real reboot validation. Recovery USB boot and full Windows restoration require separate hardware validation. The installer is not yet Authenticode signed. This is an early-access release.
Current-file updates are bounded for large sets of small files, keeping Pause, Resume and Cancel controls responsive. The encryption format is unchanged.
Running manual and scheduled backups now provide Pause, Resume and Cancel backup controls. Cancellation unwinds at a safe checkpoint, cleans unfinished local backup output and releases source locks and VSS snapshots. Pause retains source locks. File and folder backups show the current file; disk images show reading and verification phases.
Choose a part size in MB or GB under Advanced options, including 50 MB. Available for disk, file, folder and scheduled backups. Restore opens the first .dk2/.dkf file and reads all parts automatically. Keep all files together. Rebuild recovery USB media with 1.0.4 for split archives. Existing single-file backups remain supported.
Only counters reported by the device are shown. Unsupported rows are hidden. USB devices without telemetry show a clear explanation; file-system checking remains available.
Release: 1.0.2 preview, 5 October 2026.
51 regression tests passed. Additional license expiry, signature and clock tests passed. A complete attached USB image and full archive verification succeeded without source changes. Scheduling and file backup were exercised separately.
This remains an early-access release. Keep current recovery points and test restoration before relying on a backup.
